Takisha Moncrief, Ed.D
Dr. Takisha Moncrief firmly believes that education is the great equalizer and can change the entire trajectory of a child's life. She is a former teacher, literacy coach, school improvement supervisor, and professional development specialist. Considering each role throughout her career, making a one-to-one connection with students and watching them take steps toward independence ranks as the most rewarding.
Dr. Moncrief launched Step Up Tutors during the onset of the 2020 global pandemic as a solution to fragmented learning opportunities and as a support to parents desperately seeking assistance. In addition to Step Up Tutors, Dr. Moncrief advocates for children as a coach and consultant. She also hosts the Literacy is Life! Annual Summer Conference.
